39 Grammes
by Peter Hilton

River Lethe Film Co. may possibly be a group of metaphysical filmmakers.
The company is misnamed after the mythological river all cross on their journey to be reborn on Earth, the drinking of whose waters causes us to forget all we have known before. It is the design of the filmmakers to bring about a feeling of remembering.
A group of researchers testing humans during the process of dying concluded that 39 Grams was the amount of weight lost by someone at the moment of death.
39 Grams is the story of Mr. Henry Mowbray's experience with hypnotherapist John McPhee. Looking for answers through regression therapy, Henry is provided with a version of his life which fails to fulfil his client-centred expectations. He could simply continue to overcome his problems through fantasy.
He could change.
He could just leg it.
